Super Size Me 4

The fact that interests me most is that MC Donald's spend 1.4 Million dollars on advertisements every year since 2001, Pepsi spends over 1 billion dollars a year on advertisements every year, Hershey's spends 200 million dollars every year on their advertisements and that the 5 a day fruit and vegetable campaigns spend about 2 million dollars a year.

This surprises me because I think that spending 1.4 million dollars a year just on advertisements is pretty weird and uncalled for .Why should they waste their hard earned time and money coming up with more and more advertisements when MC Donald's is already very famous and they should only do one new advertisement when they have a new food or product.

What i think will make a healthy meal are:
BREAKFAST
-eggs
-bacon
-milk (of a juice like Sunny D,apple juice,orange juice,etc.
-banana (or any other fruit)

LUNCH
-salad
-fries
-steak (or any other kind of meat)
-apple(or any other fruit)
-yogurt

DINNER
-Rice
-meat
-salad
-vegetables (like corn,broccoli,carrots(yuck),string beans(double yuck),or tomatoes)
-pumpkin pie

I think it's hard to get people to eat healthier because we are used to eating all of the fat and sweets and sugars that we think it is king or weird or nasty to eat healthier because our bodies are used to the unhealthy junk food opposed to someone who has been eating healthy almost all of their life.I think that everyone should have a balance on how much junk food and healthy food they store in their bodies because you need to have a balance.

Nice job reflecting on the questions. I think McDonalds spend so much on advertising because they always want you wanting them. There's a lot of competition for your belly and they believe if they let up their competition will win out. Also, they don't just want you, they want your baby sister and all the little boys and girls just beginning to form opinions about what food they like.

Just a little note about your "healthy" meals-- bacon, fries and pumpkin pie are not healthy. The rest of your choices made sense, though.

You are right about having a balance between junk food and healthy foods. The reason most people fail when they're dieting is because they're too extreme. They eat no junk food and then they get fed up and stuff their face with a dozen donuts. But you're wrong about your body being used to junk food. Maybe your mouth and taste buds are used to junk food, but your body would like nothing more than you eating healthy foods.
