I Imprinted on a vampire...Whoops!(Leah Clearwater){02}

Hayden’s P.O.V
When I arrived to Forks Washington I felt empty, leaving home was the hardest thing I could ever do. My hand automatically reached for my neck. I felt Katherine’s lapis lazuli ring. All of a sudden it weighted a ton. I couldn’t believe she’s dead. My mother died because of a stupid hunter.
Katherine was a cold hearted woman but after she met Erik Night she became like an actual mom.
Erik Night was my step father. Erik Night was a different kind of vampyire. He was a house of night vampyire. They had a crescent moon on their forehead, Erik told me stories about how every vampyire had their own unique mark. Erik’s mark was awesome, I started from his crescent moon and circled around his face from to under his eyes. I loved hearing his stories. He told us about this girl named Zoey Redbird, She broke his heart and had about two different guys that liked her. He said that he would always love her in a way but not like he use to. Zoey made many mistakes with him but, she seemed nice just a girl that was very confused. I met her once and she became like my aunt. I could count on her for anything. I still visit sometimes. Katherine was okay with this. She trusted Erik. She never doubted his love for a second. Katherine had met him in a poetry reading and always said that she fell in love the moment she heard his voice. Mom would always tell me that story.
I looked down at the dirty white squared floor, of the airport. I still can’t believe she’s dead. My heart felt empty without her. She would always make me smile. Erik was just destroyed when he found her dead. He had tried to kill himself, It was horrible. There was blood everywhere. The memory still hunts me.
If it wasn’t for Zoey and her special circle I don’t know what would have happened.
I couldn’t face him leaving me. He was my father.
I always knew who my real father was but I could never get the courage to face him,
He didn’t even know Katherine was pregnant.
I sighed and walked to the rental station.
I rented a car and drove all the way down to my new house.
I sighed as I walked through the door.
The house wasn’t that bad. I set all my stuff on the floor and went to look around.
The house had two bedrooms and a huge living room.
I had already ordered all the furniture in before I came.
I went to the living room and sat in the plush white couch. I looked around.
A 50 inch plasma T.V. hanging on the wall. The plain white walls.
And my mother’s coffee table.
Not a soul in here. So quiet you could hear a needle drop.
The quiet was mocking me. Telling me that I was completely alone, and that I will always be like that. My heart felt like it weighted a million pounds. My stomach twisted into knots.
‘Alone’ The word nagged at me. One simple five letter word made me want to throw up.
It echoed through the whole house.
I sighed and walked over to my room.
It was an exact replica of my old room. The walls were painted a calm blue and my bed in the middle. I should unpack but I am a little jet lag. So I took some sheets from my luggage and slipped into blissful sleep…………………………

I looked down at my mother’s body. Her pale body covered in cuts. My blood boiled through my veins. I smelled vervain the moment I stepped through the door. I could see the pain in my moms blue eyes. She was fighting for the little piece of life she had.
“Mom please don’t leave.” I pleaded as I lifted her fragile body off the cold ground. Her perfect curls dangling. Her small hand cupped my face, a small smiled appeared on her lips. I felt like I had the weight of the world on my shoulder. That stupid hunter.
This was all my fault. I should have gotten to her sooner. I tried but I couldn’t get to her on time. They cut her with knives dipped in vervain. They made her choke down vervain. Tears fell from my eyes. I could see how hard it was for my mother as she used all the strength she had to remove her lapis lazuli ring off her finger. Katherine placed it in my hand. When she placed her ring delicately on my hand, it felt like she was saying good bye.
“Give this ring to the woman you fall in love with. I’m sorry. I love you” Her voice croaked.
“Why are you sorry mom? Come on I’ll get you to aunt Zoey. You’ll be alright” I said trying to convince myself than her.
Her soft small hands cupped my face. She wore a smile on her face. I could see a spark of happiness in her icy blue eyes. “It’s too late. Remember I will always love you. I will always be there when you need me. Just light a red candle and dream about me and I will come. I will always love you. I’m sorry.”
Those were her last words. She closed her eyes and sighed. I felt her go limp in my arms.
“NO!” I yelled. I grabbed a piece of glass off the floor and cut my wrist and prodded her head up. I put my wrist on my mother’s lips. Hoping that my blood would heal her.
“Please mom I need you.” I pleaded at her lifeless body.
I felt somebody’s arms trying to pull me away. I just held on tighter.
She can’t leave me. They managed to pull me away but I hit whoever he was and fell to the ground next to my mother’s dead, lifeless cold, body. I held her against my chest and cried like I’ve ever cried before.
She’s gone. She left. It was all my fault.

I woke with a jolt. A shiver passed down my spine. The memory of my mother’s death still haunts me. The look in her eyes. I was so stupid to leave her alone.
I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I looked at the caller ID. Erik.
I sighed and put my phone down. I have to forget about the death. I came here to start fresh. Forget everything. I got ready for school.
Wow. I'm going to school. All these years of being home schooled I still don’t know what to expect from high school. All the movies I have seen should be enough right?
I sighed as I looked in the mirror. My black hair covered my plain blue eyes. My pale skin and red lips. I had the snake bite piercing. I put on the ring and left with my leather jacket.
I still can’t shake the feeling of being watched. I turned around but couldn’t see anyone.
I think I’m going crazy. I sighed and got into my car. It was a sleek black Ferrari.
I just brought it yesterday.
Yes I’m rich. But hey when you live forever you learn how to invest.
When I got forks high school I ran inside. I saw no one outside and the everybody’s car was already parked.
Ugh I hat being late for the first day of school.
It was very easy to find the main office. I went inside to see an old lady with huge round glasses. She looked like she drank a cup of spoiled milk. She kind of scared me.
“I’m new can I get my schedule?” I asked sounding bored.
“Name?” She asked her voice like something was shoved down her throat.
“Hayden Night.” I always used my step father’s last name.
“Yes hear you go.” She handed me the piece of paper.
I sighed and looked down at the paper.
I had biology first period, room 114.
I made my way down the hallway to the room. Not really looking ahead of me.
I collided with someone and fell on top of them.
“I am so sorry.” I heard a girls voice say.
Her eyes looked up at mine. Our noses almost touching.
Hear brown hair all over the floor.
“It’s my entire fault. I should have been looking where I was going.” I said. She had these honey brown eyes. They were beautiful.
I saw her blush. My fangs prodded at my gums. She smelled so delicious.
Like the forest. So natural.

No don’t you dare drink her blood. Mom taught you better!

A voice nagged inside my head.
I don’t want to- wait who are you? I don’t have time for this!
I got off hear. I saw all here books scattered around the floor. She bent down to pick them up but I already had them stacked.
“T-t-thank you” she stammered. Her voice was nice and soft. I liked it.
“Leah! Come on we have to go.” A voice from down the hall boomed at her.
So her name is Leah. It’s not a name that was commonly heard of.
“Well I should be going. See you later.” I said
“Bye” I saw disappointment flood her big brown eyes.
I watched her walk away. A smile tugged at my lips.
